Orbis Tertius is where I keep essays, notes, reading logs, and the occasional interactive view. The subjects vary, but the recurring theme is institutional machinery: republics, councils, laws, wars, trade networks, electoral systems.

The name comes from Borges. I liked the reference, and I like the idea that imaginary worlds can make the real one easier to see.
